World Book Day reminder Thursday 5th March 2026

Bower Lodge School will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday, 5th March 2026. This year’s national campaign, “Go All In,” encourages children to dive deeper into their personal passions—whether that is football, space, or animals—through the power of reading.

Key Information for the Day:

• Optional Dressing Up: Children are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. We encourage low-cost or homemade costumes, such as using existing pyjamas or simple props. The teaching staff will also be dressing up. If children do not wish to dress up, they are welcome to come to school in normal uniform. 

• £1 Book Tokens: Every child will receive a £1/€1.50 book token. These can be swapped for one of the exclusive World Book Day titles or used for a discount on a full-price book at participating retailers until 15th March 2026. (Token attached to the letter sent home today)

• Share a Story: Students are encouraged to bring in a favourite book from home to share and talk about with their classmates.
